Acting One
Acting One is a six-week introductory acting course, perfect for complete beginners. If you have always wanted to try acting in a welcoming and fun environment, this is the place to start. No experience required, and nothing to prepare. Small group classes with the Artistic Director of The Circle Studio, where you will thrive, imagine and play.
Course details
Acting One runs for six Wednesday evenings from 24 June to 5 August at Greystones Presbyterian Church (there is no class on Wednesday 15 July). Each session runs from 7pm to 9pm. The course is for adults aged 18 and over, and places are limited to a small group, so booking is essential.
What to expect

Do I need previous acting experience?
No. Acting One is designed for complete beginners. You do not need any experience and there is nothing to prepare. We start from the very beginning in a welcoming, supportive group.
What should I bring to class?
Just yourself, comfortable clothes you can move in, and a bottle of water. Everything else is provided. You do not need to bring scripts or learn anything in advance.
What should I wear?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing and flat shoes or socks so you can move and sit on the floor easily. There is no dress code.
Is this suitable if I am nervous or shy?
Yes. Many people arrive feeling nervous. The class is small, friendly and pressure-free, and we begin with gentle warm-ups and playful exercises so you settle in at your own pace. You are never put on the spot.
What happens after I complete the course?
Acting One is the natural first step. Once you finish, you can continue with our ongoing Adult Company classes or other courses to keep developing your skills.
