introducing the little circle Autumn Workshops
Our 10-week creative programme combines sensory art and crafting with cosy relaxation. This term, we are tailoring our small-group sessions to match your child’s developmental stage.
Process-led exploration
the little makers · ages 4–5
the little makers is all about the joy of making.
In this group there is no “right” way to create. We focus entirely on tactile exploration: testing textures, mixing colours and experimenting at individual creation stations.
It is a calm, low-pressure space where your child can follow their curiosity, build fine motor skills and wind down with mindful relaxation.
How the little makers session flows

Every session at the little circle starts the same way. We begin on the mat all together. A soft landing with breathwork, a game, some movement. Gently settling into the space for the creative hour ahead.
the little creation station
They step into a world of inspiration and exploration. They choose what textures to test and colours to mix. They follow whatever materials they are drawn to, creating entirely at their own pace.
the little wrap up
We finish with some space and calm. Under cosy blankets with their favourite teddy, watching their belly gently rise and fall. They leave us relaxed, grounded and heart-full.

Creation + exhibition
the little curators · ages 6–7
the little curators step into the role of real studio artists.
Over 10 weeks they work on one dedicated artwork each session, exploring their own style.
The term builds towards an End-of-Term Exhibition, where parents are invited into the studio and our young artists present their collections.
It develops real communication skills and creative confidence, in a supportive space.
How the little curators session flows

Every session at the little circle starts the same way. We begin on the mat all together. A soft landing with breathwork, a game, some movement. Gently settling into the space to introduce our theme for the week and see what sparks our imagination.
the little creation station
little curators create one dedicated artwork each week, exploring a completely different material, technique or colour palette every time. They learn to develop a piece using a specific element, while completely trusting their own instincts.
the little exhibition project
The second part of our creative hour is dedicated to their final showcase piece. This is their ongoing masterpiece that they return to, build upon and develop every single week. It gives them a true sense of creative pride as they watch their big vision grow over the 10-week term.
the little wrap up
We finish with some space and calm. Under cosy blankets with their favourite teddy, watching their belly gently rise and fall. They leave us relaxed, grounded, heart-full and growing in creative confidence.

Parent FAQ
The practical questions, answered.
Is this a drama class?
No. The Little Circle is a creative wellbeing space rather than a performance class. Your child breathes, moves and makes in their own time, for their own sake. If they fall in love with acting later, The Circle Studio is right here, but that is a separate thing entirely.
What should my child wear to the studio?
Comfortable clothes that they can move freely in and wouldn’t mind getting a little bit of paint or clay on. We recommend layers so they stay warm during our cosy relaxation wrap up.
Does my child need to bring anything?
Just themselves and their favourite teddy or soft toy. The teddy is a big part of the little wrap up, helping them feel secure and relaxed under their cosy blankets. Don’t worry if you forget to bring yours: we have our resident bears Emma and Evie if anyone leaves theirs at home.
Can parents stay during the session?
Our small-group sessions are designed as drop-off classes, to give the children total independence and a focused creative space. You are more than welcome to relax downstairs in the beautiful Amo & Pax space, or enjoy a stroll around Avoca next door. The private gate on site leads into the gardens, perfect for a potter and a coffee.
My child is quite shy. Will they fit in?
Absolutely. Because our groups are strictly limited and kept very small, it is a highly supportive, gentle environment. We use playful breathwork and easy games designed to dissolve drop-off anxiety and help every child feel safe and seen.
What kind of materials do you use?
We use premium, high-quality and child-safe materials. Across the terms, children explore everything from paints and papers to clay, collage textures, stamping and structural construction materials.
How do the showcases work for the older groups?
For the little curators, ages 6 to 7, the final week of term turns into a studio event. Parents are invited upstairs on Monday 7 December to view the collections, see the ongoing masterpieces they have built, and let the children present their own work. It builds real-world confidence in a room full of people who are on their side.
What happens at collection time?
We finish with the little wrap up, so children come out calm rather than wound up. Collection is from upstairs at Amo & Pax, and we’ll only release your child to the adult named on your booking form unless you let us know in advance.

For you to read together before the first visit, so the room already feels friendly when you arrive.
Will I get messy?
Definitely. We love to mix up cool colours, test squishy textures, and use our hands to make amazing things. It is always a good idea to wear your favourite play clothes so you don’t have to worry about a little bit of paint or clay.
Who is Imogen?
Imogen is there to help you open up the craft boxes, show you cool things with materials, and make sure you feel totally safe, happy and relaxed the whole time you are upstairs.
Do I have to make my art look perfect?
Never. In our studio there is no such thing as mistakes. We don’t care about perfect lines, we care about having fun. You get to choose what colour and what material, and make exactly what you want to make.
Why do I need to bring my teddy bear?
Because your teddy has an important job. At the very end of our class we do the little wrap up. You get cosy under super-soft blankets, pop your teddy on your tummy, and watch them gently rise up and down like a little boat on a wave while you rest.
What kind of games do we play on the mat?
We do volcano magic breathwork, where we blow away all our loud energy, and pretend to be tall trees stretching up to the ceiling. It is a fun way to stretch our legs and shake out our busy bodies before we start crafting.
Can I bring my art home?
Yes. If you are a little maker, your creations come home with you to show everyone. If you are a little curator, we keep some of your special pieces safe in the studio so we can surprise your grown-ups at our big little exhibition at the end of term.
